The Coach & Horses is a traditional pub with a modern twist. Located just away from the historic centre of Hexham, this old Coaching Inn has been recently refurbished to a very high standard.
Entering through the original archway that historically led to the stables, you will find a choice of cosy, modern lounge, or lively bar with traditional pub games.
Continue through to the rear of the pub & you will find a beautiful walled garden with it’s own outside bar.
There are 6 newly refurbished en-suite rooms above the pub too so no need to worry about over-indulging – just stay the night!
We are the perfect place for a wind-down drink after work, cheering on your favourite team, or a big night out with friends.
With food served all day, fresh barista coffee and free wifi, we’re a popular venue whatever the occasion.

A full and varied menu is served everyday from 10am to 9pm and chef’s specials are also available daily to tempt you.

We have 7 en-suite rooms with all the modern amenities you’d expect. Spacious, airy and tastefully decorated.
Our modern bar layout helps to create a relaxed & friendly atmosphere with space to hide away to read the Sunday papers or gather with a group of friends for a lively catch up.
Open from 11.30am every day with food served until 8pm Monday to Thursday, 9pm Friday to Saturday and 6pm Sunday.
Enjoy a hot drink & a sweet treat for just £4.50 – choose a traybake, a scone or a toasted fruit tea cake with your choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
A perfect pit-stop when out walking your dog – biscuits & a bowl of water are always ready for our four-legged, furry friends.

Spacious, airy and tastefully decorated, our accommodation is ideal whatever brings you this way! We are located on the main street so some street noise is to be expected.
